April Update

it's Aaron from that Thrifting Fashion Game again !!

You see this lil guy?

I almost deleted him from the game... but people LOVED him so much that I made him into a core gameplay mechanic!! let me explain...

Awhile ago I thought it'd be cute to have the game's menus be accessed via flip-phone, so I added him as a lil charm for decoration!

It was a quick sketch meant to be a placeholder (it looked a bit too similar to another game's annoying white dog for me). So I posted it awhile back asking ppl what I should replace him with.

But the response was crazy! People LOVED him, and NOBODY wanted him to be replaced.

Actually, alot of people gave me a way better idea on what to do instead. Namely, adding...

Customizable Charms!

ദ്ദി ˉ͈ ꒳ˉ͈ )✧

Now you can choose exactly what charms to equip, u can swap and combine them however you want!

The game's all about self-expression, so now even the menus are now unique to each player and their personal style which is so exciting to me!!

But they arent just cosmetic, each one has it's own unique ability to help you thrift! Like for instance, when you...

Checkout!

At checkout, charms can apply discounts to items with certain features, such as a straight -25% off or a stacking -10% for every item of X feature purchased (combo potential⁉️)

They can also influence what clothes you find when thrifting, like boosting items of X aesthetic or unlocking rare endgame items, and more!

My goal was to make thrifting clothes just as fun as styling them! I want you planning runs, strategizing charm combos, and watching discounts stack into crazy deals for awesome hauls!

Storing your haul !

To view said haul, I added an inventory screen where you can see all your items!

Nothing too exciting about it... but its necessary and completed! woo! 🥳

Now that these have been added, I think now all the game's most necessary systems are in place, woo (x2 combo)!! 🥳🥳

So, next month I'm focused on polishing & playtesting to get the game as fun as possible at it's core before adding any more content.

HELP!!!1!

Are you a composer/musician?!

A trailer editor?!

A sound... maker?

I'm looking for help with those, so if you or someone you know is open to work and think you'd be a good fit for the project, I'd love to hear from you and potentially work together!

Theres a link below where you can tell me about yourself and your work!

Or, if you know of someone you think would fit the game but dont have direct access to them, you could also always shoot me a reply telling me about them too! ^_^ Thanks!
